A G-system coupler whose beer port is 1/2 BSP (13/16-14) needs a 13/16-14 to 7/8-14 adapter before standard 5/8 BSP shank hardware will thread on. The adapter presents the usual 7/8-14 for tailpieces, taps and push-in fittings.
Not every G coupler uses the 13/16-14 port, so measure or check the model before buying. Fitting a 7/8-14 tailpiece straight onto a 13/16-14 port will not start; the adapter is the bridge, and it seals on washers, not tape.
