The two ends

A mini regulator outlet is usually a 1/4 MFL or FFL flare, so it connects to a ball-lock disconnect through the same flare hardware a full regulator uses. The cartridge inlet is the only part that differs from a bench setup.
Decide by the outlet you have: an MFL outlet needs an FFL swivel, an FFL outlet needs an MFL tail. The flare seals on its face, so no tape, and the regulator behaves like any other once past the cartridge inlet.
