Connect KeyKeg (DSI) coupler to Sanke D coupler (American Sankey)
How to join KeyKeg / DSI head and type D, G5/8 ports, and what stops it leaking.
Not compatible. KeyKeg (DSI) coupler and Sanke D coupler (American Sankey) do not share a mating thread, so there is no adapter between them; fit the part that matches your hardware.
The two ends
- End A
- KeyKeg (DSI) coupler (KeyKeg / DSI head)
- End B
- Sanke D coupler (American Sankey) (type D, G5/8 ports)
- A seals on
- flat washer on each threaded dispense port
- B seals on
- flat washer on each threaded port; barbs seal under a worm clamp
- Part needed
- matched replacement, no adapter exists
The part to buy
A KeyKeg uses a DSI valve, so a Sanke D coupler will not tap it and a KeyKeg coupler will not tap a normal Sanke D keg. There is no adapter between the heads; you fit the coupler that matches the keg's valve.
The line side is identical, both dispense through 5/8 BSP ports, which hides the difference at the valve. Identify the keg format, KeyKeg or Sanke, before choosing the head, then connect line the same way once coupled.
