Used on: Guinness and most UK and Irish nitro stouts, run on beer-gas (mixed CO2 and nitrogen).
The U coupler taps Guinness-style nitro kegs and is meant to run on beer-gas, not straight CO2, so the gas side wants a nitrogen or beer-gas regulator. The 5/8 BSP dispense ports connect line as usual, but the gas source is the part people get wrong.
Flare fittings seal on the 45 degree flare face and must never be taped. Push-in fittings seal on an O-ring against the tube wall and need the tube cut square. Barbs seal under a worm clamp. Getting the sealing method right matters more than the thread label, because most homebrew leaks are a taped flare or an unclamped barb.
