Used on: most European imports such as Heineken, Beck's, Amstel and Pilsner Urquell (S variants).
The S coupler shares the 5/8 BSP dispense threads with the D coupler, so the line side connects the same way; what differs is the probe and keg valve, which is not interchangeable with a D keg. Pick the coupler by the keg, then connect line by the 5/8 BSP thread.
Flare fittings seal on the 45 degree flare face and must never be taped. Push-in fittings seal on an O-ring against the tube wall and need the tube cut square. Barbs seal under a worm clamp. Getting the sealing method right matters more than the thread label, because most homebrew leaks are a taped flare or an unclamped barb.
