Used on: inside a stout or nitro faucet; some kits offer discs with different hole counts to tune the pour.

The restrictor disc is not a threaded fitting, it is a captive plate inside the stout faucet with a handful of small holes that shear the beer. Aftermarket creamer or aerator kits offer discs with different hole patterns so you can tune head density, but they only fit a faucet built to take a restrictor.

Flare fittings seal on the 45 degree flare face and must never be taped. Push-in fittings seal on an O-ring against the tube wall and need the tube cut square. Barbs seal under a worm clamp. Getting the sealing method right matters more than the thread label, because most homebrew leaks are a taped flare or an unclamped barb.
