Used on: the beer-out on Sanke keg couplers, the back of tap shanks and faucet tailpieces.

Homebrew shops call this 5/8 BSP but the mating nut on a shank is 7/8-14. It seals on a flat washer on the thread face, so a Duotight 8mm or 9.5mm to 5/8 BSP body is the clean way onto a shank or coupler from push-in line.

Flare fittings seal on the 45 degree flare face and must never be taped. Push-in fittings seal on an O-ring against the tube wall and need the tube cut square. Barbs seal under a worm clamp. Getting the sealing method right matters more than the thread label, because most homebrew leaks are a taped flare or an unclamped barb.
