Connect Duotight 9.5mm push-in to 5/8" BSP beer thread (shank / coupler)
How to join 9.5 mm (3/8") OD and 5/8" BSP (7/8"-14 nut), and what stops it leaking.
Not a direct fit. Joining Duotight 9.5mm push-in to 5/8" BSP beer thread (shank / coupler) needs a Duotight 9.5mm to 5/8 BSP beer thread fitting.
The two ends
- End A
- Duotight 9.5mm push-in (9.5 mm (3/8") OD)
- End B
- 5/8" BSP beer thread (shank / coupler) (5/8" BSP (7/8"-14 nut))
- A seals on
- double EPDM O-ring on the tube outer wall
- B seals on
- flat nylon or fibre washer on the face of the thread

- Duotight 9.5mm to 5/8 BSP beer thread fitting
The part to buy
A Duotight 9.5mm to 5/8 BSP fitting takes EVABarrier 9.5mm line straight onto a tap shank or Sanke keg coupler, which carry the 5/8 BSP beer thread on a 7/8-14 nut. The push-in end seals on the tube, the BSP end seals on a flat washer on the thread face.
The washer does the sealing on the BSP end. If the shank weeps, the washer is missing, cut or the wrong thickness, not the thread. Do not tape a BSP beer thread that is meant to seal on a washer.
