Connect Pin-lock quick disconnect to MFL male flare (1/4")
How to join pin-lock QD, MFL or barb tail and 1/4" MFL (7/16"-20 UNF), and what stops it leaking.
These connect directly. Pin-lock quick disconnect mates with MFL male flare (1/4") without an adapter.
The two ends
- End A
- Pin-lock quick disconnect (pin-lock QD, MFL or barb tail)

- MFL male flare (1/4") (1/4" MFL (7/16"-20 UNF))
- A seals on
- O-ring seals over the post; the tail seals by flare or clamp

A pin-lock disconnect with an MFL tail presents a 1/4 male flare just like a ball-lock one, so it threads directly into an FFL swivel or flare outlet. The taller pin-lock body changes how it locks to the keg, not how the tail connects.
The tail seals on the flare face, so keep it clean and tape free. The pin-lock body is taller than a ball-lock, so allow more room behind the keg; the connection itself is identical at the flare.
