Used on: portable and picnic dispensers that need more gas than a 16g cartridge gives.
The 74 gram cartridge is 5/8-24 UNF, larger than the 16 gram 3/8-24 UNF. The two are not interchangeable in the same holder. Like the 16g, it needs its own cartridge holder to reach a regulator or a keg, so match the holder to the cartridge size printed on it.
Flare fittings seal on the 45 degree flare face and must never be taped. Push-in fittings seal on an O-ring against the tube wall and need the tube cut square. Barbs seal under a worm clamp. Getting the sealing method right matters more than the thread label, because most homebrew leaks are a taped flare or an unclamped barb.
