The part to buy
A 16 gram CO2 cartridge is 3/8-24 UNF and a 74 gram cartridge is 5/8-24 UNF, so a holder made for one will not accept the other. There is no adapter between them; you fit the holder that matches the cartridge size printed on it.
The two cartridges look similar on a shelf but thread differently, and forcing the wrong one either will not pierce or leaks all its gas at once. Read the gram size and thread before buying a holder or a pack of cartridges.
