Connect 16g threaded CO2 cartridge to CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve
How to join 3/8"-24 UNF and 0.825"-14 NGO RH, and what stops it leaking.
Not compatible. 16g threaded CO2 cartridge and CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve do not share a mating thread, so there is no adapter between them; fit the part that matches your hardware.
The two ends
- End A
- 16g threaded CO2 cartridge (3/8"-24 UNF)
- End B
- CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve (0.825"-14 NGO RH)
- A seals on
- a pierced or valved seat in the holder against the cartridge neck
- B seals on
- nylon or fibre washer inside the nut against the valve outlet
- Part needed
- matched replacement, no adapter exists
The part to buy
A 16 gram 3/8-24 UNF cartridge does not thread onto a CGA-320 regulator; it needs a dedicated cartridge holder that pierces or seats the cartridge and presents a normal connection. A regulator expects a refillable CGA-320 cylinder, not a disposable cartridge.
Disposable cartridges are for portable chargers, not bench regulators. If you want a regulator on gas, use a refillable CGA-320 cylinder; if you want a cartridge, buy the matching 16g holder rather than trying to mate a cartridge to a regulator.
