The part to buy
To take John Guest 5/16 line onto a flare disconnect or regulator, a 5/16 push-fit to 1/4 MFL fitting grips the tube on its collet and presents a male flare for an FFL swivel. It is the John Guest equivalent of the Duotight 8mm to MFL fitting.
5/16 John Guest and 8mm Duotight tube cross over, so this fitting and the Duotight 8mm to MFL do a similar job; pick the collet that matches the tube standard you run. The MFL flare still seals on its face, tape free.
