Connect Duotight 9.5mm push-in to MFL male flare (1/4")
How to join 9.5 mm (3/8") OD and 1/4" MFL (7/16"-20 UNF), and what stops it leaking.
Not a direct fit. Joining Duotight 9.5mm push-in to MFL male flare (1/4") needs a Duotight 9.5mm to 1/4 MFL flare fitting.
The two ends
- End A
- Duotight 9.5mm push-in (9.5 mm (3/8") OD)
- End B
- MFL male flare (1/4") (1/4" MFL (7/16"-20 UNF))
- A seals on
- double EPDM O-ring on the tube outer wall
- B seals on
- metal 45 degree flare face, never PTFE tape

- Duotight 9.5mm to 1/4 MFL flare fitting
The part to buy
The male-flare 9.5mm fitting takes EVABarrier 9.5mm line onto a female flare port or FFL swivel: the push-in end grips the tube on its O-rings, the MFL end seals on the 45 degree flare of the matching FFL.
Pick male or female by what it screws into: an MFL needs an FFL opposite it. The flare seals on the face, never the thread, so keep the flare clean and skip the tape even though the body is plastic push-in.
