The part to buy

A 5/16 push-fit to 1/4 FFL fitting screws its female flare onto a disconnect MFL tail and takes John Guest 5/16 line. This is how you run John Guest imperial line onto a ball-lock or pin-lock corny keg disconnect.

Match the flare gender to the disconnect. Most disconnect tails are male, needing this FFL-ended fitting; buying the MFL version leaves two males that cannot join. Confirm the tail before ordering.
