Connect SodaStream CO2 cylinder to CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve
How to join TR21-4 (often pin-valve) and 0.825"-14 NGO RH, and what stops it leaking.
Not a direct fit. Joining SodaStream CO2 cylinder to CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve needs a SodaStream (TR21-4) to CGA-320 adapter with pin adjustment (KegLand KL24662).
The two ends
- End A
- SodaStream CO2 cylinder (TR21-4 (often pin-valve))
- End B
- CGA-320 CO2 cylinder valve (0.825"-14 NGO RH)
- A seals on
- O-ring on the valve stem
- B seals on
- nylon or fibre washer inside the nut against the valve outlet
- Part needed
- SodaStream (TR21-4) to CGA-320 adapter with pin adjustment (KegLand KL24662)
The part to buy
A SodaStream cylinder threads TR21-4 but often behind a proprietary quick-connect valve, so a deluxe SodaStream to CGA-320 adapter with pin adjustment presents a standard CGA-320 nut for a North American keg regulator and reaches both plain and pin-valve bottles.
A plain TR21-4 adapter may not fit a newer pin-valve SodaStream bottle, which is the common surprise. Use the pin-adjustable version, and never leave a small soda cylinder pressurising a regulator unattended, since it holds far less gas than a full tank.
